11/10/2008  Thompson Electric Company Was Issued An Occupational Business License In July 2008. The Business Failed To Respond To Two Hazardous Material Management Surveys That Were Mailed To The Facility. The Business Is Being Placed In The Database As A Potential Generator And An On-Site Inspection Will Be Performed. 
8/31/2009  Thompson Electric Company Is An Electrical Contractor That Does Commercial And Residential Electrical Work. They Also Remove And Install Lamps From Businesses. They Have Been At This Address For 11 Years. The Facility Consists Of A Storage Warehouse, Offices, And Two Shipping And Receiving Bays. The Oil Changes And Repairs On The Company Vehicles Are Conducted By Local Repair Shops. The Repair On The Forklift Is Conducted By Baxley Forklift. The Service Manager, Chris Thompson, Stated That The Spent Fluorescent Lamps Are Brought To The Main Facility And Are Thrown In The Trash. Mr. Thompson Estimated That 50 Pounds Of Spent Fluorescent Lamps Are Generated Per Month. Mr. Thompson Was Advised That This Was Improper Disposal Of Spent Fluorescent Lamps. Mr. Thompson Was Provided With Disposal Information On Managing Spent Fluorescents And Given The Managing Spent Fluorescent And High Intensity Discharge (Hid) Lamps Handout. Mr. Thompson Was Advised That Waste Management Records For Hazardous Waste Must Be Kept On File For A Minimum Of Three Years. Based On Information Or Documentation Provided By The Facility, On 8/31/2009 The Inspector Advised Mr. Chris Thompson That Thompson Electric Company Was Classified As A Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generator Of More Than 20, But Less Than 100, Kilograms Of Hazardous Waste In Accordance With City Ordinance Code Chapter 123.

Mr. Thompson Was Provided With Disposal Information On Managing Spent Fluorescents And Given The Managing Spent Fluorescent And High Intensity Discharge (Hid) Lamps Handout. Based On Information Or Documentation Provided By The Facility, On 11/17/2009 The Inspector Advised Mr. Fred Thompson That Thompson Electric Company Was Classified As A Non-Generator Of Hazardous Or Regulated Waste In Accordance With City Ordinance Code Chapter 123. 
12/17/2020  Thompson Electrical Company Went Out Of Business At This Address Sometime After The Last Hazardous Waste Program Inspection On 11/17/2009. On The Date Of The Current Inspection, This Location Had Signage For Hull'S Environmental Services, A Company That Is A Used Oil Transporter, A Hazardous Waste Transporter, And That Provides Emergency Response And Environmental Remediation Services.
